Surgery
The Department of Surgery has its humble beginnings in 1986 with three surgeons. Today it is a full fledged department with over twenty highly qualified surgeons, and is recognized by the University of Mumbai for post graduate training in surgery.
Surgical facilities at the hospital compare with the best in the country. Laparoscopic or Minimal Invasive Surgery is routine. The department also has an independent Endoscopic suit.

Over 400 operations are conducted every month, 60% of which are major. From pancreatic, hepatobiliary and cancer surgeries, to piles, hernias, appendectomies etc. The hospital also has separate operating rooms for septic cases.
Post operative care is excellent. The recovery room is equipped with resuscitative facilities in the theatre itself, and monitored round-the-clock.

The hospital also accepts medico-legal cases like accidents and trauma.
In order to maintain high standards, and in keeping with the overall philosophy of the Holy Family Hospital, constant upgrades in equipment and procedures are undertaken.
