The relatives only in case of emergency can reach the patients / relatives on the hospital board numbers.
If you have to make a call outside, there are 7 public telephones for the use of patients and relatives. Three are on the ground floor, out of these one is near the Main Entrance and the other two are at the rear ends of the floor. There are also public telephones one each on the 1st floor near the ICU and on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th floor respectively.
Manned STD & ISD booth is located near the out gate of the hospital premises.
Private calls are permissible through the exchange on payment, only when the Public Telephones are out of order.
Bed Day
One bed day means a unit for the accommodation / for occupying a bed in the hospital. It is very important for you to be familiar with the hospital's policy of changing a bed day.
If admission and discharge are on the same day, accommodation will be charged:
For below six hours stay – at 50% of room charges
For above six hours stay – at full day's charges
Check out time for discharged patients is 12 noon.
For stay beyond one day, number of days will be calculated considering day of discharge or admission is before noon and the discharge is after noon, In this case, both days will be counted.
For stay beyond 21 days, the bed charges will be enhanced by 25%. This does not apply to patients in Neo-Natal ICU, SICU, ICCU and ICU.
