CONSULTANTS VISITS:
Your consulting doctor will make a visit initially on the admission and then depending upon your condition and need, he will be making one or two routine visits in a day.
Usually you will be admitted under a single consultant only, though another consultant may be called in, as required. Also in an emergency / OPD admission you will be placed under the care of the on call / OPD consultant. This does not limit your choice of consultant and you can change the consultant if desired after informing the medical Director.
You can discuss with him your condition, further plan of action and any other clarification sought. He / she will spend sufficient time with you until all your doubts are cleared.
In case you need to see your consultant in addition to this you can make a request to the staff sister. She will plan a special visit for you. Sometimes, the resident doctor or the ward sister, depending upon your clinical condition will ask for a special visit of the consultant.
