- WOMENS DAY CELEBRATION
The Mahila Din Programme was held at the school hall of the Apostolic Carmel School. Navjeet is very greatful to the principal, Sr.Muriel Rita, who generously provided the school premises for many of our functions.
The Chief guest for the programme was Mr. J.F. Riberio, Ex-Police Commissioner of Bombay. He and his wife appreciated the various handicrafts prepared by the youth ad women which were on display.

Being Womens Day, our staff members Mrs Kalpana and Mrs Sunita compered the show and kept the pace lively and interesting throughout.
The Programme began with a prayer Dance by the Parena M M, followed by the Lightning of the Lamp by the Chief Guest and other eminent Guests.
Magala Naik the CDO for H/West ward presented Cheques to the member of Self Help Group (SHG) groups to encourage their schemes.
The Chief Guest gave a speech applauding the various programmes and womens endeavours. Prizes were given to women who had scored A grade for Health Education.
Best Family prizes were also given to healthy and small families which were sponsored by the Mahanagar Gas Ltd.
The Mahila Amar Credit Society leaders were also felicitated.
Another highlight of the day was the inauguration of the Health Insurance Scheme.
One and all enjoyed the cultural programme which consisted of dances, skits, news-miming and role plays.
